Why this exists

Illuminare’s mission is to make litigation data-driven: every position grounded in what the timekeeping record actually shows, with high-quality insight broadly accessible — not gated behind analytics teams and consulting budgets.

The barriers have been historic, not technical. Exposure totals, employee-level breakdowns, trends across the class period — that depth has long taken weeks of expert work and cost more than many matters can carry, so access to insight, not the data itself, decided how a case resolved.

Illuminare removes those barriers. The person behind it

Illuminare was built by Philip Gundy — an economist by training and a data scientist by trade. He spent several years in litigation analytics at an Am Law 100 firm, building exactly this kind of analysis for California wage-and-hour matters, and worked as a data scientist at Facebook and Roblox.

Those years on the defense side showed how much deeper insight is worth in litigation. Illuminare brings the same depth to every firm — plaintiff-side and defense-side alike, in the same tool, with the same methodology.
